I live across the border, there, where not many dare to go, because I´m free.
I smoke cigarettes and drink a beer or two, because I´m free.
I go to work every morning, do my best to cope with every day´s problems, because I´m free.
And I am free because I chose to be
Not because someone told me to be
I chose my own path and ways
Some time ago, so many days
And repent not for what I´ve chosen
Because I chose to give rather than take
This freedom I have when I am awake
Transferred on to my children of liberty
Across some border at my own free will
