Wrinkles

The lines that I have on my face

Those fissures with no fixed destination

That when I smile show around my eyes

They are the unmistakable testimony

Of having lived for some time now

And each line represents a memoir

Sometimes written with sweetness

But other times pressed with pain

But they also represent adventures!

Of having lived for some time now

And I will be waiting to have enough

To be able to tell the world that I have

Not only a line in my face but many

With which to write a book with these imprints

A visible testament every time I smile…

That could be read at plain sight

Of what it means having some or many

Lines on mine face representing

Having lived a full life
